Shelby Zink is a product designer at Microsoft

I design intuitive user experiences that prioritize people's needs and leverage technology. With confidence and creativity, I tackle complex challenges to drive positive business transformation. My ethos is rooted in responsibility and care, striving for inclusive and equitable design practices.

Copilot vision for gen-z

I collaborated with a cross-disciplinary team of designers, UX strategists, and researchers to create a mobile-first experience that could capture a gen-z and historically untraditional customer base for Microsoft. We identified seven "Big Ideas" that would guide future company strategy and product experience for this demographic and developed prototypes to show how these ideas could translate into a seamless all-in-one Copilot assistant experience.

Microsoft account framework

Working with a team of designers and product managers, I helped develop a Fluent identity framework for designers and contributed  to a UX playbook for PM partners, that set the user experience standards and criteria for internal teams working on consumer and commercial account interactions. Our framework ensured UX consistency, cohesion, and a high level of UX craft for the Microsoft account experience for product teams.

Co-design guidebook

I collaborated with a passionate team of designers who are driven by DE&I to develop a comprehensive guide to co-design principles and practices for researchers, designers, and PMs at Microsoft. This guidebook lays the groundwork for incorporating the voices of people with lived experience into product making and decision-making processes. Our goal in this effort is to increase awareness and provide resources to help designers and their technical colleagues understand and adopt the principles of co-design in their daily work at Microsoft.
